15 मार्च की रात Los Angeles के Dolby Theatre में 98वें Academy Awards का आयोजन हुआ और इस बार की Oscars रात ने कई surprises दिए। Best Actor की race इस साल सबसे unpredictable मानी जा रही थी — एक तरफ Timothée Chalamet और Leonardo DiCaprio जैसे दिग्गज, दूसरी तरफ Michael B. Jordan। और जब नाम announce हुआ तो Sinners के star Michael B. Jordan ने दोनों को पीछे छोड़ दिया।

Best Picture इस साल Best Picture के लिए Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, Sinners और Train Dreams nominated थीं। Best Picture winner का नाम इस list में announce होना बाकी है — लेकिन बाकी categories में इन films ने ज़बरदस्त प्रदर्शन किया।

Acting Awards — रात के सबसे बड़े winners

Best Actor का award Michael B. Jordan को Sinners के लिए मिला — उन्होंने Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon) और Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent) को पीछे छोड़ा।

Best Actress का award Jessie Buckley को Hamnet के लिए मिला। Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, Renate Reinsve और Emma Stone को nomination के बावजूद यह award नहीं मिल सका।

Best Supporting Actor Sean Penn को One Battle After Another के लिए मिला — यह उनका तीसरा Oscar था जिसने उन्हें Jack Nicholson, Walter Brennan और Daniel Day-Lewis की बराबरी पर ला दिया। हालांकि Sean Penn ceremony में मौजूद नहीं थे।
